This great gun has the best of both worlds.  It's a early 1st model serial # 9564 mfg. in 1875 and it's an identified piece carried by a very famous man Capt. H.H. Buhne.  He shipped out of Denmark at 16 years old and ended up as one of the weathiest men in America. Please refer to the cover sheet for a brief summary of some of his exploits.  The one thing I need to expand on is the fact that the Indian arrow actually pierced his lung. The rifle itself is in pretty good shape for a 1st model that saw alot of use on the frontier.  It's missing a small 1/32" sliver of wood on the left forestock other than that it's all there. The bore is very good with all it's sharp rifling . The book on his life will come with the rifle.  You can google him for further info.
