An American musket stocked in American cherry with it's original wooden ramrod which is now missing it's worm.  The lock, trigger guard and buttplate appear to be of French manufacture. Where as the ramrod pipes and nose cap are made from American sheet brass. The lock functions properly. The 41" barrel is .75 cal with both a front sight and a bayonet lug underneath.  The musket has the original owner name punch doted on the butt plate and his initials carved on the butt stock. He placed the name upside down on the butt plate. There was only one Richard Luke here in America at the time and he was in the Virginia probate records of Feb.9, 1753. A pretty neat musket that could use some further reseacrh.
