This is spectacular Buffalo Rifle.  It's 30" barrel is 1 1/2" across the flats and it's either .45-90 or .45-100 with a very good bore.   I haven't got a gauge to get in their and tell the length of the cartridge.  The gun weighs 20 lbs and is one of the heavest Buffalo Rifles I know of .  The stock is beautiful with nice hand checkering at the wrist. The barrel retains most of it's period blue as does the telescopic sight which still has good optics. The double set trigger lock works fine and still exhibits alot of case colors.  On the bottom of the barrel there's provision hole for a rest.  This great rifle could bring down a Buffalo before he heard the shot.  You could shoot this heavy barrel rifle all day without it heating up.  A really great example of a Western Buffalo Rifle.
