A very attractive set of Smith & Wesson’s in their original dealer casing. The set is made up of a S & W # 2 with a great looking set of period ivory grips.  The serial # 43391 dates it as being mfg. in 1865 . It still retains some of it’s original blue finish with the rest turnimg a nice blue brown patina. The action is crisp and smooth.  The second pistol is a Smith & Wesson 1 1/2 serial #2547 which dates it also as being mfg.d in 1865. It also has a beautiful set of period  ivory grips  and the action also is smooth and crisp. It has less finish then the #2 and is mostly a blue brown patina.  Both pairs of ivory grips have some very attractive age cracks. The outfit comes with 39 rimfire .32 cal. cartridges.  The casing has a wonderful form fitting velour interior with a ivory inlaid lid.  A nice addition to any gunroom.
