This little S&W certainly has a lot of eye appeal.  Serial # 88246 with a 3 3/16 ” barrel. It’s engraved in a classic  scroll and punch dot pattern.  The ivory grips are raised carved in a patriot American Eagle pattern and have developed a beautiful aged patina. The engraving is crisp with about 85-90%  nickel finish remaining ,the rest has flaked mostly on the cylinder. The action operates well. These pistols were manufactured from 1868 to 1881.
