​This historical pistol is in really beautiful shape retaining most of it's original factory blue finish. The action works fine on both single and double action. The only minor problem that I can see is that one of the tabs to open the cylinder door has broken off. The inscription on the backstrap is period engraved and exhibits the proper age and wear. Overall the pistol has developed a nice even patina.   I'm not going to go into lengthly details on who Gen. Henry Heth was outside of saying he was a trusted and close personal  friend of ​Gen. Robert E. Lee.   I have a large folder containing his personal correspondence and records that will come with the pistol.
