I've had this great Wells Fargo scale in my collection for a dozen years. It was found in Custer,South Dakota and comes with document stating such. This Howe mfg. scale retains most of it's original red paint with gold leaf accents under a great looking patina.  Wells,Fargo & Co. Express is painted in gold leaf on two sides of the scales base. The total weight is 55 lbs. Something very rarely offered for sale that would fit nicely in any Western or Express Co. collection.
