The block of wood was from one of ​Old Ironsides refurbishings, probabily in the 1980's . It measures 3 1/2"x 2"x2" . One side is branded " Authentic wood from USS Constitution". Another side has the number 89-0510. If memory serves me, that number signified which part of the ship the wood originally came from. A pretty neat piece of American history.
